Branding & white-label

Present the portal, concierge, and emails under your own brand — the three portal-branding controls, email branding, the Pro white-label toggle, and what never changes for shoppers.

Your shopper-facing surfaces — the subscription portal, the sign-in page, the WallaB concierge, and every email — lead with your brand, not ours. WallaB appears only as a small "Powered by WallaB.AI" credit, which Pro-and-above merchants can remove entirely.

Portal branding

Four controls on Settings → Customer portal shape how your store looks to shoppers in the portal and on the sign-in page:

  • Display name — shown in the portal header and in WallaB's messages. Leave it empty to use your shop name.
  • Logo URL — an https:// link to your logo, shown in the portal and on the login screen. Leave it empty to fall back to your display name.
  • Accent color — colors the buttons and links in your portal, with a live preview as you pick it. Leave it empty to use WallaB's default.
  • Browser-tab icon (favicon) — the little icon in the browser tab of your portal. Upload a square PNG or ICO, up to 64 KB and between 16 and 256 px (48×48 works best; 32×32 is fine too). The card previews it at true 16 px and 32 px, so you see exactly what a tab will show. Leave it empty for the default.

When no favicon is uploaded, the portal falls back honestly: a white-label store — or one served from its own custom domain — gets a plain, brand-free icon rather than the WallaB one (matching the suppressed "Powered by WallaB.AI" credit), and every other portal shows the WallaB default. Your own upload always wins over both.

The concierge introduces itself as "{your store}'s subscription concierge", so a shopper who meets WallaB is always dealing with your store — never a separate, third-party service.

Email branding

Every email WallaB sends on your behalf wears your brand: the From name, your logo, your accent color, and a "Sent by {your store}" footer. Set these on the Settings → Email branding card; if you leave them blank, email falls back to your portal branding, then to neutral defaults. Pro-and-above merchants can also send from their own sending domain for a branded From address — see Email Studio & sending domains.

White-label (Pro and above)

Turn on White-label — the toggle on Settings → Customer portal — to remove the "Powered by WallaB.AI" credit and the WallaB branding from the portal and the concierge, presenting everything entirely under your own brand (the concierge even wears your logo as its avatar). White-label is available on the Pro plan and above; the toggle is disabled on lower plans, and the tier gate is enforced on the server, so a downgrade re-enables the WallaB credit immediately — there is no stale flag to clear.

What never changes

White-label removes our brand, never the safeguards. In every branding mode — whether or not you white-label:

  • The concierge always tells shoppers it's an AI. If a shopper asks whether they're talking to a person or a bot, WallaB says plainly that it is an AI assistant. This is a hard rule, not a setting — California's B.O.T. Act and the EU AI Act's transparency requirements both demand it. White-label changes who the AI represents, never that it discloses itself as AI.
  • The plain "just cancel" path stays visible throughout the concierge flow — no countdown timers, no guilt copy, no dark patterns.
  • Server-side guardrails, moderation, and the full ai_decisions audit log keep running exactly as they do with WallaB branding on. Branding is cosmetic; the enforcement underneath it is not.
